Frequently Asked Questions About Our Medical Staffing Solutions

How long have you been established?

Medical Resources Staffing Services is a specialty division of The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies and has been providing customized, cost-effective services to the Southern California healthcare community since 1991. Our industry expertise allows us to understand and cater to the distinct needs of our clients. Since 1992, many top local healthcare practices and facilities have turned to us for their staffing needs because of the quality service we provide and the extensive base of highly skilled candidates we’ve established.

What medical sectors do you serve?

Our medical staffing consultants cater to all areas of healthcare at a variety of facilities including hospitals, outpatient clinics, physician offices, medical business offices, insurance providers, laboratories, biotech and pharmaceutical companies and more.

What positions do you staff for?

At Medical Resources, instead of focusing on one type of healthcare staffing, we provide exceptional medical personnel for the entire industry. In addition to the hospital setting, we staff for a number of jobs related to the clinical, allied health/technical, science/biotechnology, dental and healthcare administration settings. We’re able to fulfill most any request and pride ourselves on our comprehensive menu of services.

Some of the positions we place include:

  • Clinical jobs – Medical assistant, registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant and more.
  • Allied Health/Technical Jobs – Radiologic technologist (radiology technician), X-ray technician, mammographer, ultrasonographer, medical technologist and more.
  • Biotech/Scientific Jobs – Phlebotomist, chemist, biologist, clinical research associate, medical laboratory technician and more.
  • Dental Jobs – Dental assistant, dental receptionist, dental hygienist, dental biller and more.
  • Healthcare Administration Jobs – Medical administrative assistant, medical secretary, insurance biller, medical records clerk and more.
What types of services do you offer?

Medical Resources provides temporary, long-term contract, temp-to-hire and direct-hire placement in all areas of the healthcare and medical fields. In addition, we provide a number of back-office services aimed at saving clients valuable time and resources. Our back-office services include timekeeping, payrolling and more.

How does Medical Resources Staffing Services differ from other agencies?

While other agencies and registries provide staffing services for either clerical, clinical or allied positions, Medical Resources can provide all types of healthcare professionals, enabling us to customize cost-effective solutions, no matter what staffing requirements clients have.

We staff both clerical and clinical professionals for hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, physician offices, medical reference and scientific research laboratories, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, medical billing offices, insurance companies and more.

We also maintain an extensive understanding of the local healthcare market so we can be a resource for our clients on the most current information regarding wage trends, the local employment forecast, healthcare regulations and employment issues, so they can make the most effective decisions regarding their business.

Why is working with your healthcare staffing agency better than working with a vendor management service?

At Medical Resources, we can provide many of the same services as a vendor management service at no cost to you. Typically, a VMS manages all the staffing needs of a client, interfacing with vendors to make sure they provide high-quality candidates who fit all the compliance and credentialing requirements of the client.

However, Medical Resources guarantees our candidates meet all of your requirements and are 100% compliant, free of charge. We can also consolidate billing, provide usage reports and online timekeeping and coordinate back-up services to save you time. And we offer competitive placement guarantees to ensure your satisfaction with our services.

How quickly can you fill a staffing need?

We understand healthcare needs extend beyond a traditional workday, and that healthcare facilities and organizations need to be able to meet their patients’ needs, no matter what the circumstance. Understanding these and other requirements of the healthcare industry, we’re able to respond to client staffing needs faster than a clerical or general staffing agency.

We open at 7 a.m. and operate extended hours into the evening to fulfill work orders on short notice, whether clients need to respond to sick calls, vacation requests or an emergency response. This ensures the quality of your patient care and services never diminish.

What is involved in your recruitment process?

Prior to identifying candidates for positions, our medical staffing consultants take the time to learn about their client organizations inside and out. This enables us to discover the personalities and skill sets that best match each client’s work environment. Our recruitment process begins with our online application where applicants can download their certifications, licenses, immunization records and more – instantly – so we can assess their skills and abilities.

If an applicant meets the criteria that a client established for a position, we will schedule an in-depth interview with one of our staffing consultants for additional screening, skills testing and reference checks. Depending on the position, candidates may interview with our client to determine fit for the position. If the client wishes to work with the candidate, he or she will begin the assignment.

How do you screen your candidates?

Each of our candidates undergoes a rigorous screening process so clients can be sure they’re receiving employees with relevant experience specific to their needs. We require candidates to provide us proof of licenses, certifications, educational history, immunization history (if applicable) and more during the application process.

In addition, our medical staffing consultants administer testing for skills relevant to the job posting. We also conduct background checks, a minimum of two reference checks and verification of employment history to ensure qualifications meet the requirements of our client organizations.

Do you offer a guarantee on all your placements?

To ensure client satisfaction, our temporary and direct-hire placements are backed by guarantees considered the gold standard in our industry. If our temporary placement does not fulfill your expectations by the end of the first day of employment, we will adjust the charges and immediately work to replace the position. In addition, if one of our direct-hire placements is not a good fit for your organization, we will give you a full refund within the first 30 days of employment or offer a full replacement guarantee if notified within the first 100 days of employment.

If there is an emergency with one of your employees after business hours, who do I contact?

Medical Resources uses an emergency paging system that works directly with our automated voicemail to address immediate needs and concerns. Please call your staffing consultant directly and follow the prompts to use our automated paging in the event of an emergency.
